Contingency plans, spill response instruction, and countermeasures recommendations were conducted 2018 to 2022 for Suncor Energy, BC Ferries, Western Forest Products (including 2023/24), BC Hydro, GHD, Squamish Nation, and the Prince Rupert Port Authority. Several of these projects continued to see significant progress in spill response preparedness. In 2023, spill prevention and response programs were conducted for ProTrans BC (Skytrain), Kwikwetlem First Nation (also 2024), Freedom Diving Systems, Metro Vancouver watersheds, and Natural Resources Training Group (NRTG). An expanded environmental initiative with BC Ferries has been ongoing since 2016 that in 2024 includes studies relating to electric vehicle/lithium-ion battery incidents. Spill prevention and response training continued for Metro Vancouver watersheds in 2024.
